Sennheiser G4ME ZERO Review

Sennheiser G4ME Zero

Personally, I am a big fan of Sennheiser headphones, so when they jumped into the videogame realm, I instantly knew I had to try these, being a major fan of music and videogames, this was like the best of both worlds for me, I wanted to test if Sennheiser would bring the same class they have with their industry headphones to the videogame ones (G4MEZero), they did not disappoint.

Fresh out the box

As soon as you open the box, you get this sleek case with the headphones inside them, when i opened it it came to my surprise that they have the collapse swivel design, I like the DJ look, it was a first for me to see this done on a gaming headset, I must say the red inner lining is a very nice touch.

As for the colour choice of the headphones, i would have loved to see an inverted look, Black over red, instead of white over red, that being said, the white is a nice clean look, and i love the subtle reads all over, being a graphics artist you kind of look close at these things ūüėÄ

The microphone placement, a lot of people were complaining about this, just by viewing an image of the product, I have actually used it and i got to say you can hardly notice it is there, if I had one input I would love for it to be de-attachable so you can use the headphones as standalone.

Bringing the noise

Now it’s time to test the sound, and my god they are good, i tried them on low and high volume, there was no distortion whatsoever, I even tried them on a cluster of mixed sounds aka Dubstep and it was perfect and these headphones are LOUD and crystal clear due to the noise blocking on the environment sounds around you.

I tried them on Super Street Fighter IV, i was hearing sounds i could not hear before even the clarity of the footsteps, it’s good to hear things clearly and appreciate them.

The microphone is very clear, it also has noise blocking for unwanted environmental noise, which is a plus.

The Outcome

The Sennheiser G4ME ZERO headphones, are one of the best sounding gaming headsets to date for me, it is comfortable, looks sleek and sexy and produces great quality sound, the only thing that would scare you is the price tag being $399.95 AU-RRP, but let it be know that you are getting what you pay for and you will not regret if you have the money.
